A young puppy, just a few months old, faced a tough start in life as she roamed the fields struggling to survive, shunned by many due to her bent legs.
Despite this, kind strangers offered her food, helping her endure until volunteers from the Sheremetyevo dog shelter came to her rescue.
Worried about her condition, the volunteers took her to the vet. Some doctors recommended amputating her legs and using a wheelchair, but the shelter team was not ready to give up.
They sought advice from different professionals, holding on to the hope that she might walk on her own someday.
Given the name Kiss, the puppy was a bundle of affection. She quickly adapted to the love and warmth offered by her rescuers, likely experiencing such kindness for the first time.
Her healing journey took a pivotal turn when she met a chiropractor. Initially scared, she tried to flee but soon understood he was there to help her.
After a thorough check-up, there was promising news: her condition might improve with appropriate care and therapy.
Kiss’s foster mother was filled with optimism. “I was thrilled when I heard she had a chance to recover. It was going to be a long journey, but I was confident we could overcome this challenge,” she expressed.
Following the vet’s guidance, Kiss began receiving massages with special oils to enhance blood circulation and strengthen her bones.
For about three weeks, she wore a custom-made plaster cast, gradually acclimating to her treatment regimen. Though the start was tough, she adapted with patience and determination.
“We kept giving her massages, vitamins, and endless love. It wasn’t easy—it took time, effort, and even tears—but every moment was worth it,” her foster mother shared.
Then, the long-awaited moment arrived. Kiss experienced the joy of running for the first time. Thrilled, she dashed around, a symbol of freedom her body had long desired.
