Meet Ayla, a resilient puppy who was discovered by Krista when she was just two and a half months old. Ayla was in dire need of help, suffering from malnutrition and mange, and visibly struggling as she crawled along the ground, shivering.
Krista took Ayla to a veterinarian, where an examination revealed her poor health condition. It seemed Ayla was so desperate for food that she had even consumed stones.
Her calcium deficiency had caused deformities in her front legs, forcing her to crawl, which led to significant abrasions on her body.

Currently, Ayla is receiving dedicated care at a hospital as she begins her journey to recovery. She is under the protection of Little Steps, but her recovery could span up to three months, requiring ongoing attentive care.
Fortunately, X-rays confirmed that Ayla has no broken bones, which significantly boosts her prospects of walking normally in the future.
Besides receiving nourishment, Ayla was taken outside for some sunshine. Although she continues to itch due to mange, she appears much happier now. Described as the best patient, her spirits are lifting.

The following day, Ayla underwent a blood test, which revealed that her primary health challenges were the mange and nutritional deficits—problems that can both be addressed.
She was also provided with a calcium supplement and a bandage to aid her leg issues.
A person close to her remarked, “It fills my heart with joy to see our sweet Ayla almost playing like a puppy again. She seems so happy and excited to enjoy life.”

Ayla is particularly fond of her new toy, a small ball that doubles as a tool to aid her in learning to walk.
Ayla will need to wear her bandage for nearly a week as part of her treatment.
Let’s continue to support Ayla in her recovery. We hope her story touches many hearts and inspires others to help.
