Just a month ago, a team of volunteers received a call about a dog in urgent need of help. Lying by the roadside, the dog’s condition was shockingly poor. He was severely neglected, burdened by a large tumor on his chest, and constantly drooling.
Despite his plight, his charming demeanor and wagging tail captured the hearts of those who came to his aid.
The volunteers acted quickly to rescue the dog, who they named Xiao Fu, and took him to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
Despite his serious condition, dating back to a rough past, Xiao Fu had shown remarkable resilience. Even in the face of adversity, he wagged his tail, reflecting his fighting spirit.
The medical examination revealed severe bone damage caused by the tumor, and the outlook seemed bleak. The initial diagnosis suggested that therapy might not be a feasible option.
However, the volunteers remained determined to help Xiao Fu and sought other opinions, visiting multiple hospitals until they found one willing to attempt treatment.
Xiao Fu’s bright eyes mirrored his determination, and bit by bit, his health started to improve.
Xiao Fu’s journey was fraught with challenges. He underwent a blood transfusion and numerous tests, leaving the volunteers anxious and worried at times. Yet, they never lost faith in Xiao Fu’s determination to overcome his illness.
Despite the complications following a CT scan, which revealed the tumor had spread to his brain, damaging essential nerves and bones, the volunteers remained resolute.
While surgery was not possible, they discovered that Xiao Fu’s condition was vascular fibroma, a type of cancer treatable with medication.
As Xiao Fu continued his treatment, his condition showed signs of improvement over the next two months. He put on weight and received the care he desperately needed.
Although the future remained uncertain, the love and support Xiao Fu received allowed him to enjoy each day filled with warmth and care, living a life free from guilt.
