Farid Mansurov, living near Baku, has dedicated his life to rescuing needy dogs. He established a shelter specifically for disabled and injured dogs, transforming his 20-acre country home into a sanctuary called “Kind World.”
The first resident of “Kind World” was a dog that had lost a leg in a car accident. Soon after, a small, cold, hungry stray puppy became the second. Today, the shelter is home to 350 dogs, each with a story of hardship.
Farid carefully selects the dogs he takes in, focusing on those with physical disabilities, injuries, or illnesses.
However, the shelter also welcomes dogs with emotional scars—those suffering from deep psychological trauma.
Among them are two German shepherds that Farid bought from a previous owner who kept them in terrible conditions, tied to short chains.
Beyond just physical healing, Farid aims to rebuild the dogs’ trust in humans. He believes how some parents teach their children to treat animals can lead to a cycle of cruelty.
Farid emphasizes the importance of instilling compassion in children, encouraging them to love and respect nature, people, and animals.
Farid welcomes anyone who wishes to adopt a dog from the shelter, with the simple condition that the new owner provides love and proper care for their new companion.
