A touching scene unfolded in central China when a mother dog had to say goodbye to her puppy, which was adopted.
Since mid-September, this mixed-breed stray, along with her seven puppies, has been under the care of students at Zhengzhou University in Henan province.

A video captured on Monday shows the emotional mother giving her brown puppy a farewell kiss before it leaves with its new owner.
The woman’s owner was seen carrying the young pup to her scooter as the mother dog followed closely behind, clearly distressed.
The mother stopped beside the owner’s scooter, her head and tail drooping as if pleading to see her puppy again.
The owner then lowered the pup, allowing the mother to kiss and lick it goodbye. “Don’t worry, I’ll take excellent care of your puppy,” the owner assured the mother dog.
As the mother dog turned to leave, she glanced back one last time at her beloved puppy, making the moment even more poignant.
The video has gone viral, touching millions of hearts. Many viewers likened the scene to a moment from a movie, expressing their sadness and suggesting that the mother and puppy be adopted together.
One commenter said, “I’ve never seen something so sad! I’m sobbing.” Another added, “Can they both be adopted together?”
