When Claire began dating Dom, she didn’t expect to meet Abby, his massive Borzoi. Upon meeting the Russian hunting dog, Claire couldn’t help but think, “This is the weirdest dog I’ve ever met.” Abby, nearly the size of a horse, was an unusual sight.
Initially, Claire and Abby needed time to bond, but they eventually formed a close connection. Later, the family grew with the addition of Cleo, a lively Silken Windhound. Cleo brought boundless energy despite her slim frame and quickly became the family’s joy.

Cleo loved to test boundaries, contrasting Abby’s more relaxed demeanor. She would race around the yard, get muddy, and spin in circles with unmatched enthusiasm.
Despite her and Abby’s different breeds and quirks, the family’s decision to adopt Cleo proved to be a sweet one. While Cleo seemed somewhat aloof, she and Abby got along well.

Their dynamic was particularly entertaining, depending on where they were. Outdoors, whether hiking or playing in the yard, the dogs were inseparable, often doing zoomies together. However, they preferred their own spaces unless they were playing or eating.
Both dogs were territorial about their spots in the house. Abby, who had been with Dom for many years, experienced separation anxiety whenever he left for work.
This often led to mischievous behavior, like destroying items or hiding bread from the counter. Despite these antics, Dom felt that Abby taught him patience and responsibility.

Abby remained the family’s heart and soul, while Cleo provided endless comic relief, making their home lively and full of love.
