Imagine if you stumbled upon a child rummaging through a landfill, forced to eat scraps that aren’t even part of their usual diet just to survive. How would that make you feel? That’s the kind of situation a puppy named Paulinho found himself in.
Paulinho was abandoned shortly after birth and left to survive in a desolate landfill, completely alone and vulnerable. The extent of his suffering was heart-wrenching.

His small body was covered with stains, his skin dry and rough, and insects clung to him, draining what little energy he had left. The conditions were so dire that without intervention, he might not have survived much longer.
Fortunately, Paulinho’s story took a positive turn. A kind-hearted man discovered him and reached out to help. Paulinho was taken to a vet clinic, where his condition was thoroughly assessed.
Initially, he underwent tests for various conditions such as distemper and oliquiosis, and though the state of his skin suggested mange, it turned out to be an extensive infection rather than that particular disease.
This infection had spread so significantly that his skin appeared almost petrified.
Despite the severity of his condition, Paulinho displayed incredible resilience and patience throughout his treatment. The staff at the clinic found him to be quite lovable, especially during his first bath.
Their care and dedication gave Paulinho a second chance, transforming his life from one of despair to one filled with hope and healing.
