Chucky was found by the Humane Society of the United States during a rescue operation at an Ohio facility, where 166 dogs and cats were being held in poor conditions.
As part of their efforts, the team scanned the animals for microchips and discovered one belonging to Chucky. It turned out that an Indiana family had been searching for him all this time.
A video of the reunion captures the emotional moment when Chucky was returned to his overjoyed family.
Thanks to the SPCA’s work, Chucky was reunited with his loved ones, and many other animals were also rescued and spared from further suffering.
