In Castle Pines, Colorado, a Golden Retriever named Catcher went missing after a series of unexpected events.
Catcher, who lived with her owners Lisa Menzies and her husband, was left in the care of a contractor working on their home. When the contractor left for lunch, he inadvertently left the door ajar.
A gust of wind blew the door open, allowing Catcher to wander outside. The entire incident was captured on the doorbell camera.
The footage showed Catcher stepping onto the lawn and disappearing from view, which understandably caused Lisa significant worry.
Fortunately, a FedEx driver noticed the lost Golden Retriever. Realizing the situation, he sent Lisa a message, informing her that he had found Catcher and would bring her back home.
The driver, who had retrieved Catcher, transported the three-year-old dog in his delivery truck and carefully carried her to the Menzies’ doorstep.
Lisa was deeply grateful for the FedEx driver’s kindness and dedication, as he had paused his busy delivery schedule to ensure Catcher’s safe return. She and her family considered him a hero for his compassionate act.
