In a heartwarming tale from Germany, a three-month-old tiger cub named Kiwah has found an unlikely companion and protective older brother in Rumble, a German Shepherd.
Despite the vast difference in their eventual sizes, the young tiger cub is content to cuddle up next to Rumble, who has taken him under his wing at a zoo in Australia.
Kiwah was born at Mogo Zoo in New South Wales, Australia, and has been hand-reared by zookeeper Sally Padey since he was just two weeks old.

Due to a hip joint issue, the decision was made to hand-rear Kiwah, and Sally has taken on the role of a surrogate mother, describing the experience as akin to raising a mischievous child going through the ‘terrible two.’.
Living among the 200 animals at the zoo, Sally keeps Kiwahand her German Shepherd dogs in her backyard.

Despite their differences in species, Kiwah and Rumble have formed a strong bond, with Rumble happily indulging Kiwah’s playful antics, including retrieving tennis balls and receiving playful nips on the head.
The heartwarming images of Kiwah and Rumble playing together serve as a testament to the capacity for love and companionship to transcend species boundaries, reminding us of the beauty and unpredictability of nature’s bonds.
