In the industrial region of Anand, a dog named Anya was discovered living alongside her puppies. Initially, the RRSA India team focused on rescuing the puppies, ensuring their safety before returning for their mother.
Anya was found in a state of fear and confusion, suffering from serious injuries. Her primary concern appeared to be her missing pups, as she refused to eat, showed no intention of running away, and seemed to convey her distress, insisting on being reunited with her young.
Once safely transported to the RRSA Animal Shelter, Anya was visibly relieved to be with her puppies again. Although still frightened, their presence provided her some much-needed comfort.
Anya’s condition was quite serious. She was plagued with a severe eye infection, and her skin bore the marks of prolonged hardship. The rescue team administered IV fluids to stabilize her and prepared her for emergency surgery, which proved successful, although her eye could not be saved.
Gradually, Anya began to recover. Her strength increased with each passing day, her appetite returned, and her skin started to heal. Staying close to her puppies provided her with much-needed strength and support.
Despite the trauma she endured, Anya displayed remarkable resilience. Her journey from the turmoil of the industrial area to the safe haven of the shelter marked a significant turning point.
Thanks to the prompt rescue efforts and dedicated care, Anya now has a chance not only for complete recovery but also for a future filled with love and tranquility.
