Every dog deserves basic essentials like food, a cozy place to sleep, and a bit of comfort. Sadly, many dogs are deprived of these basic needs, which strikes at the heart of human responsibility.
Despite their history as loyal companions to humans, numerous dogs are abandoned and left to fend for themselves.
Such was the case for two small terriers who were discovered abandoned near a drain pipe, relying solely on one another for companionship and survival until a caring individual intervened.

The story of their rescue began with Audray, a dedicated worker from Luck’s Rescue in Georgia, who discovered the terrified terriers during her routine checks on local animals.
Understanding their fear, she sought a gentle approach to help them without causing distress.
The dogs had taken refuge deep within a drain pipe, making it difficult for Audray to reach them. Their fear of humans made the rescue even more challenging, so she handled the situation with patience and care.
Shifting her tactics, Audray used food as a peace offering to win their trust.

Although the hungry pups accepted the food from Audray’s hand, they were still wary and refused to venture closer.
Realizing she needed to be strategic, Audray devised a plan. She placed a crate near the entrance of their hideout, hoping their hunger would draw them in.
Her plan worked. Tentatively, one of the terriers approached the crate after some hesitation, driven by his appetite.
As he entered, Audray gently secured him inside. She used the same approach to rescue the second terrier, both operations going smoother than anticipated.

Ensuring their immediate safety, Audray took the terriers to her home in Georgia. Here, they could eat properly, rest, and begin feeling secure again while Audray diligently worked to find them a foster home.
Fortunately, a foster carer experienced in rehabilitating neglected animals quickly answered the call. Named Mimi and Momo, these two delightful pups are now in a safe, nurturing environment.
They have been spayed, undergone health evaluations, and are almost ready to find their forever home.
In the loving foster care setting, Mimi and Momo are learning to trust again, waiting for a family to offer them the permanent, caring home they so richly deserve.
