When she spotted Officer Nick, she let out a grateful cry, wagging her tail energetically.
Officer Nick provided her with food and comfort before using bolt cutters to release her from the chain.
He then brought her to an animal shelter, where the staff contacted Jason Platt, the founder of Friends To The Forlorn, a rescue organization for pit bulls.

Initially named Cammy, the pit bull was affectionately renamed Zoe after being freed. Upon meeting Jason, Zoe immediately snuggled up to him. Jason promptly took her to a veterinarian for much-needed treatment.
A video captured the touching moments of her rescue and the care she received from Jason.
At the veterinary clinic, Zoe was ecstatic and continuously showered everyone with kisses, showing her relief at being surrounded by compassionate people.

Over the next seven months, Zoe was placed in a foster home where she regained her health. Her touching transformation was evident in her before and after photos, leading a new family to decide to give her a permanent, loving home.
Zoe has blossomed into a beautiful, serene dog who enjoys the company of others and thrives in dog daycare.

Although her initial condition was heartbreaking, knowing she was close to dying from neglect and starvation, Zoe’s story now has a happy ending.
Her journey from a desperate, starving dog to a lovingly cared-for pet is truly uplifting, as illustrated in the video showcasing her remarkable transformation.
