Abandoned in the middle of a snowstorm, a group of tiny puppies was left to survive on their own.
Their owner had made a cruel choice, walking away from them in freezing temperatures, leaving them exposed and helpless.

There were better options—bringing them to a shelter, finding them new homes—but instead, he chose secrecy and neglect.
Fortunately, someone caring crossed their path just in time.

A woman spotted the puppies lying in the snow, barely moving. It was clear they had been out there for a while, and their chances of survival were slipping away.
Heartbreakingly, one of the four had already passed. The others were weak and cold, with one pup—later named Fido—in especially dire condition.

She immediately gathered the remaining puppies and brought them to safety. Inside a warm, dry space, she offered food and care.
The pups responded quickly, eagerly eating and soaking in the warmth they desperately needed.

Fido, though fragile, began showing signs of recovery over the next few days.
After a few hours in shelter and under close care, the woman took them home. They continued to heal and grow stronger with each passing day.

And just when it seemed their story might end in rescue alone, something unexpected happened: the puppies met other homeless dogs in her care and quickly bonded with them.

Now stronger and surrounded by love, each of the puppies was placed with a new family ready to give them the care and commitment their first owner didn’t.
What began as a story of neglect ended with warmth, friendship, and a future filled with love.

@justonemorefarm Possum and his brother Wilby live with our Sheep and Goats. Possum herds them all around the property for me. He is a sweet, gentle, affectionate soul. He would never hurt a fly.. Until the day came that his herd was in trouble. He sensed Danger and Pushed the Herd up the hill towards the house. I heard a noise, and looked out the window just inntime to see Possum turn back and charge back down the hill to meet the dogs head on. I dropped everything and ran, grabbing my Beretta on the way out. I had to save him. by the time I made it our to the pasture, Possum came flying past me. I saw blood, and knew he was Injured. I had no idea how badly. The dogs were well out of range, running around in my woods. I begged the neighbors to get their dogs. They had come outside when my husband ran over there, trying to be kind and give them a last warning before I Permanently took care of the problem. They laughed, Flipped me off, and patted the dogs as they ran by, going inside the house. We called the Sheriffs dept out and filed a report. The neighbors conveniently left when the Deputy pulled in. She made contact the next day, and came by afterwards. Expecting them to want to make it right given the thousands in medical bills we were facing for Possum, I was shocked to hear that theyd shown NO remorse, instead choosing to say they weren't "willing to deal with me". Two days later, they posted a picture of the dog being rewarded for good behavior by feeding him a pigs ear. I didn't find it funny. The Pfficer completed her report, and sent it to the County Prosecutors office. Whether or not they will press charges still remains to be unseen. Emails/Calls to their office to ask them to Prosecute case 24-09-001061 would help out immensely! The contact info is: emailto: Stephanie.luntsford@randolphcounty-mo.gov Telephone: 844-277-6555 EXT 600 Instead of doing the adult, right thing, they've instead chosen to spread malicious lies, including having us served with Multiple Restraining orders. I've heard everything from "they're crazy veterans with PTSD. They have Mental Problems and Compared us to the Taliban", to "They're taking shifts, patrolling the fenceline with guns, threatening to End Us". I've been called a Liar, a Thief, and frankly, they're been discussing why I have followers, saying that I don't deserve them, that I'm exhausting to listen to, and discussing my weight. They really will sink to any level of depravity to get out of Handling this situation In any way shape or form. They used to be friends of my husband's, and while I never really bothered caring what they thought, I've spent countless hours helping them with their injured/sick/neglected Animals. It's clear they have some major issues with me, our fundraising efforts ( it Clearly Irritated them that we've been Fundraising and doing well enough to Mostly Cover Possums Hospital Bills) My little community is divided. Divided between knowing and doing the right thing, or supporting a family that's been in the town forever. It's going to get ugly i fear. For now, we are carefully watching the fenceline and pasture, because we know the dogs will be back. We also worry they'll retaliate, so.Cameras have been Ordered. We used to have a couple up in the Driveway, but a Microburst Tornado took them out earlier this summer.
